There are several advantages of using digital images over film or conventional images. Perhaps the most important distinction is that digital x-rays are more precise than the alternative. Images can be made more clear, magnified, and colourized with the digital sensor. This allows dental professionals to determine a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for every patient. Even the tiniest area of decay is made more visible with a digital image.
