Gum Disease

GUM DISEASE is a gum inflammation that can affect the bone that surrounds and supports your teeth. Gingivitis is the start of it and it can progress to Advanced periodontitis but your dentist can detect it early enough to stop it in its tracks.

DRY MOUTH syndrome is that dry, annoying feeling in your mouth due to the decrease of saliva and it can be temporary or chronic.

GINGIVITIS s a chronic inflammation or infection of your gums (gingiva) which surround the teeth and is also known as gum disease or periodontal disease.

HERPES is a virus that most of us carry by the time we are sixty years old and only 40% of people experience outbreaks of it.

ORAL CANCER is usually on the bottom lip, inside the mouth, the back of the throat, the tonsils or salivary glands. Some signs of it are sores, lumps in the cheek, numbness, white or red patches, problems chewing or swallowing, a feeling of something caught in the throat, jaw swelling or change in voice. GET TO YOUR DENTIST OR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY! We have instruments that can detect early signs of oral cancer.

PERIODONTITIS is a set of inflammatory diseases that affect the tissues that surround and support your teeth, which if not treated can lead to tooth loss.

TRENCH MOUTH is a very severe form of gingivitis that causes painful, infected bleeding gums and sores on them.

SWOLLEN GUMS are protruding, bulging or enlarged gums. If the gums swell a great amount, the swelling will block the teeth completely. Some causes are scurvy, side effects of some medications, toothpaste or mouthwash, pregnancy, poor fitting dentures, malnutrition, infections or gingivitis.
