Dealing With All That Halloween Candy

Bradford Family Dentistry Halloween

If you are anything like my family, there is a nightly negotiation with the kids about trick-or-treat candy for dinner. When is this ever a good idea? The truth is, candy is a fun treat and the best time to eat a little of it, is right after dinner when teeth are already dirty. Of course, we follow candy eating with teeth brushing.

Don’t forget to brush!

Proper brushing techniques say to not brush too hard and spend a good 2 minutes doing so. Don’t forget to brush the tongue while you are at it. We are also in the midst of cold and flu season, which is a perfect time to replace your family’s toothbrushes.

Get in the Groove

You child’s teeth are important, as are yours. I’m not just saying this because I’m a dentist.
